  2. This is an updated version of filesys-pl4-newer for Linux/m68k 2.0.x with
  3. initrd.
  4.  
  5. Notes:
  6.  
  7.   - Don't forget to add `root=/dev/ram' to the kernel command line.
  8.  
  9.   - Replaced a.out binaries by ELF binaries.
  10.  
  11.   - Additional misc binaries: dd, ldconfig, mv, rmdir.
  12.  
  13.   - Basic networking: ifconfig, route, ping, tftp.
  14.  
  15.   - Updated /dev using watchtower-2, but I removed the Atari-specific frame
  16.     buffer device nodes.
  17.  
  18.   - Shared libraries:

  28.   - The file system is in standard (little endian) ext2fs format. Make sure you
  29.     applied the patches to support initrd with this ext2fs, i.e. use a kernel
  30.     newer than 2.0.18.

  32.   - The ext2fs tools are from e2fsprogs-1.05.
  33.  
  34.   - The size of the ramdisk increased from 1400K to 1800K, while the gzipped
  35.     image is 730K large.
  36.  
  37.   - There's no need to decompress this ramdisk image. The kernel will do this
  38.     automagically.
